What gets migrated?

Asysco Migration Technology (AMT) helps you migrate from a 2200 platform. We discover and deal with every corner of the mainframe environment: the applications, the jobs that are used to deal with batch processing and the actual data in the mainframe databases.

What Asysco converts for the OS/2200 environment include amongst others:

We recognize each of the above have different migration requirements. We therefore have created multiple translators to handle each separately. All of this migration is done with absolutely NO changes to your organizations’ business logic. Your current business rules are preserved and no re-engineering is required.

Asysco eases the transition of the mainframe developers into the Windows environment because of the similarities between LION and the language they are used to programming. This reduces the amount of training needed for the developers. It provides its own language and development environment to maintain, enhance and create new applications.

LION features

LION allows the use for web services and migrates COBOL applications as web-enabled - with no coding changes. It allows the legacy DMS/RDMS database description (schema and sub schemas) and the data to be migrated to the SQL, relational database of your choice: MS SQL, Oracle or DB2.

Mainframe users are provided with those control center operations functions they are used to, such as server maintenance, job control and security, message center and performance statistics. LION allows queries against the new SQL based database with the real time query function. It also provides the ability to view past transaction paths logged by users with the transaction playback function.
