Asysco appoints Erik van Rikxoort as new CEO

Coevorden, 24 September 2007 – The Dutch company Asysco, supplier of solutions for protecting, modernising and expanding investments in existing Unisys LINC EAE- or Cobol-systems, has appointed Erik van Rikxoort as Chief Executive Officer. Since 1 September, Van Rikxoort has been responsible for realising Asysco’s growth strategy through international expansion, the development of sales activities and further development of the partner channel.

Erik van Rikxoort is already a familiar figure within the ICT market. During the past twenty years, he has, among others, held the position of managing director at internationally operating organisations, such as Software AG and Sitel. He also was country manager of Compuware where he was responsible for the Products and Professional Services departments.

The management activities of Van Rikxoort are aimed at the international market in which Asysco operates. The organisation has offices and employees in the US and in Europe. The key objective of Van Rikxoort is to increase the brand recognition of Asysco and the positioning of their LION product, which converts Linc applications and Cobol systems on the Unisys platform to open systems and databases.

Erik Van Rikxoort: ‘Asysco has enormous expertise and products that offer considerable benefits to Unisys users. Our customers prove to be very satisfied with these cost-efficient solutions. Which is why we have already completed many (inter) national implementations. I have now been assigned the task to create awareness in the market about the quality we offer. The creation of a new marketing strategy is therefore a key element in the policy of Asysco. I am really looking forward to strengthening the reputation and customer base in both the Netherlands and in other countries.’
