November 2009 - HBOS is a banking and insurance group in the UK and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lloyds Banking group. Back in 2004, the company migrated all its applications and data onto a Windows-based platform using Asysco's AMT-Lion. since then, HBOS has turned to Asysco again to complete the second stage of the mainframe migration project. Coevorden, 7 September 2009 - EMS-CHEMIE AG, Switzerland, has successfully moved into production with their new open platform after a migration from a Unisys 2200 mainframe, enabled by Asysco Migration Technology.
The EMS Group, headquartered in Domat/Ems, is a leading chemical manufacturer, with business units in Performance Polymers and Fine Chemicals/Engineering. Their worldwide activity is supported by more than 2200 employees in more than 30 subsidiaries.

Coevorden, 15 July 2009 - Europcar Sweden (Europeisk Biluthyrning AB), with headquarters in Stockholm, has trusted Asysco to go ahead with migrating their business critical car booking and reporting system, currently residing on a Unisys mainframe.
They will use Asysco Migration Technology (AMT) LION for converting their LINC code based applications and DMS II databases into a modern and open Windows environment.
Europcar is currently using a Unisys LINC/EAE application environment to handle car reservations and logistics, and underlying financials and management reporting. This is a 24x7 operation, putting a high demand on the central system. Approximately 100 rental offices, which are spread all over Sweden, are connected to the central environment.
As an end result of the migration process, and in addition to substantially lowering their TCO, Europcar is looking forward to a more flexible and proactive approach in the delivery of new functions to their business users, as well as a significant improvement of their reporting system. Last but not least, they also expect more transparency and better service, by implementing a new support model for their environment.
The decision in favor of AMT-LION has been fully supported both from a technical and a business perspective. The project duration is expected to be 6 months.

We are proud to announce that Turlock Irrigation District (TID), California, has signed with Asysco for a Unisys migration project.

TID, established in 1887, was the first publicly owned irrigation district in the state and one of only four in California today that also provides electric retail energy to its customers.
Today, TID provides safe, low-cost and reliable electricity to a growing customer base that today numbers in excess of 98,000 home, farm, industrial and municipal accounts. TID also provides irrigation water to over 5,800 farmers covering approximately 150,000 acres of farmland.
TID will convert with us some 700,000 Lines of LINC and a small amount of COBOL, and they have chosen for AMT-LION as the target platform.

All NSP Unisys mainframe applications (EAE and COBOL) will be migrated to a Windows-based, SQL-backed AMT-LION system. With a move to AMT-LION, this leaves open the possibility of moving to Microsoft’s C# or VB.Net for Visual Studio in the future, if/when that becomes a strategy for NSP.
