Europcar Sweden (Europeisk Biluthyrning AB), with headquarters in Stockholm, has gone into production in a modern and open Windows environment after converting their Unisys LINC code based applications and DMS II databases using Asysco Migration Technology (AMT) LION. The project has been delivered within less than 6 months.
Europcar’s business critical system handles car reservations and logistics, and underlying financials and management reporting. It is a 24x7 operation, putting a high demand on the central system. Approximately 100 rental offices, which are spread all over Sweden, are connected to the central environment.
As an end result of the migration process, and in addition to substantially lowering their TCO, Europcar is looking forward to a more flexible and proactive approach in the delivery of new functions to their business users, as well as a significant improvement of their reporting system. Last but not least, they also expect more transparency and better service, by implementing a new support model for their environment.
