Asysco the leading provider in mainframe migrations

FAQ about training and planning

What type of training is needed for AMT-LION?

All training is included in the fixed price quotation generated from the Discovery process. We provide two types of training. First is the System Administrator Training: two days for system administrators and operations personnel. Second is the AMT-LION Developer Training: five days for all developers.

What kind of training is necessary for our end-users?

Unless your end-users are unfamiliar with Windows, no training is required. They can continue to use your current applications once they have been migrated. The screens your end-users are used to work with are operationally the same in the new environment as they were in the legacy environment.

How does Asysco calculate the price for a migration project?

The pricing for a migration project is not determined until a complete Discovery is done. Based on the findings of the Discovery process, Asysco provides a fixed price quotation. Typically pricing varies with the size and the complexity of the set of applications that are to be migrated.

How long does it take to complete a typical migration project?

We believe that there is no such thing as a 'typical' migration project. Every site is unique. That being said, our experience teaches us that some migration projects can be completed in as little as six weeks. On average projects are completed within three to six months.

Does Asysco provide demonstrations?

Sure. Asysco can either provide a standard demonstration or - with some help from you - we can actually do a demonstration based on one of your own applications.
